Kambly Christmas Market

Sparkling lights in Trubschachen


Sparkling moments to look forward to in the Emmental: The Kambly Christmas market will take place on the first two weekends of Advent, from 26 to 28 November and 3 to 5 December 2021 in Trubschachen. The 30 brightly decorated chalets create all the atmosphere of a Christmas village around the Kambly Experience.

The range of regional culinary specialities and quality handmade crafts will delight visitors to the Christmas market.

The Covid rules in force at the Kambly Christmas Market

  • Christmas Market: Mask required from 12 years of age throughout the entire site, no COVID certificate required and no access restrictions
  • Food service area: COVID certificate required from 16 years of age, mask required from 12 years of age, except for guests consuming food and drink
  • Christmas tent: COVID certificate required from 16 years of age, mask required from 12 years of age
  • Factory shop: Mask required from 12 years of age, no COVID certificate required
  • Café: COVID Certificate required from 16 years of age, mask required from 12 years of age, except for guests consuming food and drink


Food

At the Christmas market, culinary specialities will be available to take away. Anyone wishing to enjoy their fine spiced Emmental mulled wine, raclette or sausage at the table may do so in the separate catering area (COVID certificate required). The heated and staffed gastronomy tent is also situated here and will indulge you with Emmental delicacies.

Decorate gingerbread with the Kambly Maîtres Confiseurs in the Christmas tent, COVID certificate required

  • Friday to Sunday during the opening hours of the Christmas market
  • A fee of CHF 5.00 per gingerbread is applied, with CHF 2.00 going to a non-profit organisation


Lantern Trail

The Kambly Lantern Trail invites visitors to the Christmas market to enjoy a peaceful, festive stroll through the winter landscape. Just a few steps away from the Kambly Christmas Market, a host of Christmas lanterns light the way along the River Ilfis, where the rippling water and twinkling starry sky will soon help visitors leave their everyday worries behind them. Beside the river, guests young and old can warm themselves by the open fire and enjoy the cosy, festive atmosphere with a hot tea – a treat for the body and soul.

The Kambly Christmas Market is held around the Kambly Experience. The Kambly Experience is open every morning from 9.00 am. The evening opening times will be extended in line with the Christmas market.


Getting there

Travel in comfort with the BLS to Trubschachen to the Kambly Experience.

On Saturdays and Sundays, there is construction work between Konolfingen and Langnau.

The RegioExpress replacement bus will take you directly to the Kambly Experience. Please refer to the online timetable before your journey.
